Air separation units
EXA International delivers 3 kinds of air separation units for production of Oxygen, Nitrogen and Argon :
- Cryogeny air separation unit:

The air components are separated by successive distillations.
- Membrane air separation unit:

Membrane nitrogen generators use tube bundles made of special polymers. In the air separation principle, gases have different permeation rates through the polymer film. This air separation process is mainly used for Nitrogen production.
- Pressure Swing Adsorption air separation unit (PSA) :

PSA technology is used to produce either nitrogen or oxygen by passing compressed air through a vessel containing adsorbent materials. Nitrogen PSA vessels contain an activated carbon molecular sieve material which removes oxygen and other undesired components by adsorption. Oxygen PSA units typically use alumina to remove much of the water vapor from the air feed, together with zeolite molecular sieve to adsorb nitrogen, carbon dioxide, residual water vapor and other gases.
We produce standard and bespoke air separation units.
